Sakkath is a quiet but confident tribute to heritage. It reimagines the saree. Not just as traditional attire, but as a personal archive of memory, identity, and quiet pride. Designed for those who collect, covet, and wear sarees with intention. I worked with the founding team to build a visual identity system that felt rooted, timeless, and intentional. The goal was to let the product speak, but make the design hold the space for that story to land.
Brief
To craft a brand identity that honours heritage weaves while speaking to a new generation of saree-wearers. The brand needed to feel premium but warm, artistic but accessible, and deeply grounded in Indian craft. The ask was to build something timeless and grounded in craft, but open to re-imagination.
Approach
We began by understanding our audience before any design work. As part of our brand discovery process, we conducted a targeted research survey that got over 100 responses. This allowed us to map buying patterns, saree price ranges, and luxury clothing investment frequencies.
These insights shaped our brand story and tone of voice to reflect authentic consumer behaviours. We designed for the deliberate customer, someone who doesn't make impulse purchases, but commits fully when she does. She seeks meaning, scrutinises labels, and values intention.

Our colour palette draws inspiration from earth and ritual. Kumkum, Charcoal, Khaki, using soft yet grounded tones that complement rather than compete with the sarees. The typography was curated in
such a way as to create a quiet conversation alongside the main logo. We chose Meta Old French for
its elegant softness in headings, and Darker Grotesque to provide structure, clarity, and rhythm throughout
the text.
Packaging
We treated packaging like a memory box. The logo sits within an oval shape, subtly echoing the shapes of rangolis. The pattern uses icons inspired by gate engravings found across Indian homes, a quiet symbol of welcome. Completed by a tape inspired by saree borders. The idea was to curate something that felt like receiving something special that had been waiting just for you.

Sakkath carries its story through every detail. The brand feels cohesive across digital and physical touch-points, with enough room to grow. It speaks in a voice that’s poetic, refined, and intentional, inviting a new generation to explore heritage through design.
